Rates and Insurance

Therapy

I use a three-tier system for pricing based on each client’s self-assessment of financial resources. This tier system is based off the the “Green Bottle” method for economic redistribution, which is intended to increase equitable access for clients and sustainability for both of us. These tiers are:

  • Supporter tier: recommended $250 or above for a regular session. This is the “full rate” that factors in redistributive needs and is intended for those with greater financial flexibility who wish to help offset costs for others.

  • Sustaining tier: at $210 for a regular session, representing the cost of providing therapy including our time together, my training, and overhead, but not factoring in redistributive needs.

  • Supported tier: at $170 per session or less, intended for clients with limited financial resources. Slots in this tier are limited, please specify when you inquire if this would be needed for you to begin therapy.

If you are unsure of where to place yourself, here are some examples of factors you might consider. I also welcome any questions during our initial consultation.

Insurance - In Network

I am considered in network with First Choice Health and Kaiser Permanente PPO (sometimes called “Access” or “Options”). I am out of network for all other insurance plans.

Insurance - Out of Network

If you would like to submit our sessions to your insurance company for out of network reimbursement, I will ask for payment from you at the time of our sessions, and then provide you with a monthly receipt (“superbill”) to enable you to do so.  I will not bill your insurance company directly as an out of network provider.

Click here for a list of questions to ask your insurance company if you are hoping to utilize out of network benefits.

Supervision

My full fee is $210 for a 50-minute, 1-on-1 supervision session. I can offer a sliding scale down to $170 for clinicians just launching their private practice, concurrently working in community mental health, or who are LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, neurodivergent, and/or disabled.

Gender Affirming Surgery Letters

If we are not already working together, I offer these at no charge and schedule them as I have availability. Click here for more on what to expect. If you are already a current client, it is offered as a part of your ongoing care and there is no extra fee.

Directories

If you have a different insurance plan and need to find a provider who is in network, or otherwise need help finding additional therapist referrals, check these directories.
